• Trail work
  • Work sessions - Tom is gone during the month of November
  • Next session is November 6/7 - Meet at "Club House" at 9:00
  • Need to talk about work near Island road
    • Removing a stair way and modify the entrance so that both machines and people climbing stairs can get to the trail head.
    • The area of the lake that we will get on/off has been reworked, so this should freeze this winter
    • We also need a fence to protect people from falling in the drainage ditch
    • This work will require Brett and his machine
  • Trails are getting wider each year, so if we do get the groomer, we should not have too much of a problem with it on the trails.
• Grants
  • Submitted paperwork for groomer grant
  • Polaris side-by-side with tracks and drag - about $27,000 worth
  • Got a letter of recommendation from the conservation commission
  • Got a letter of recommendation from the Boy Scouts
  • Need to make sure that all hours are logged, including work, welding, administration, etc.
• Old Business
  • Ski Doo - Million Dollar Club Support program is going on again
    • They found our money, and Culley's is going to cut us a check
    • Everyone should submit their Million Dollar Club Support Program form by Nov 15 to a SKI DOO Dealer.  Get form here !!!
• New Business
  • Tax Law Change with Registrations - If you sell a snowmobile or atv that has not had the tax paid on it, the registry will run the VIN and seller's name, and charge them back-taxes and a fine for not paying the sale tax.
  • Ashby - trying to get info from Selectmen or Fire department - we collected money for a donation for them, but we are having trouble getting them to accept the gift.  Walter will look into it.
  • The work we are doing in Lunenburg is carrying a good reputation - we need to expand this to other towns.  The trail cleaning we did after the ice storm was very well received.
  • Parents of person that died in Shirley asked our club to do a Safety Course - we can sponsor this and do it with the cooperation of SAM.  Ken has a power sports safety video presentation his daughter did that can be modified to be snowmobile specific and go with it.  Ken will talk with SAM next week to see if they can help...
