• Groomer

  • Decided to take up private fund for groomer

  • Not 100% sure of funds collected to date, but back-tracing checkbook finances it looks like we deposited about $400 towards this effort

  • Groomer team will build a smaller groomer

• Funds

  • Checkbook balance of $2077 (including the groomer donations)

  • Need to buy SAM passes and pay membership fees

  • Need to pay for Canna memorial – decided to offset this expense with cash donations (will put out jar at each meeting)

  • Need to use caution on fund distribution

  • Dues are 100 + membership so about $151 in dues.

• SAM Delegate/Meeting

  • Ken is traveling – needs someone else to go in his place

  • Tom and Paula will go as long as Tom buys Paula dinner

  • Courtney put an article in SledMass – look for it in the Oct edition.

• Trails

  • 9/29 Work Session – meet at 8:00 am at Ken C's house

  • Fix Bridge near Billy A. driveway & Clear Canna Memorial site

  • Need to re-deck bridge in Cowdry lot – Bobby is looking to possibly do this as part of his Eagle project – need to get it approved by Conservation Commission

  • Also need to lay down logs at bridge on/off

  • 10/6 work party canceled – this is Columbus Day weekend – many members going away

  • Not much work as been done yet

  • Still need to move Page St. trail – Tom B. still needs to contact land owner.

  • Talked about trail to Poor Far, but Truss bridge is gone – need a way around.

• Outings

  • Many members going to Grass Drags in Fremont NH @ Peterson's Farm on Columbus Day Weekend – if you go – wear your club shirt!

• Fund Raiser

  • 11/3 date still confirmed

  • Still need to get a band lined up – a little difficult because of Halloween bookings

  • Make sure you bring your kids to the fund raiser – like last year, there will be lots of fun stuff for the kids to do.

• Memorial

  • Meeting with Ed coming up

  • Lost big stone we had picked out (it is somewhere in the pile – but no way to find it)

  • Brett found some other stones that may work out

  • Ed will go with Brett to pick up/out stone

  • Noted that there are also lots of stones at Goodrich pit that may work out

  • Steve P. will send truck Tuesday to pick up stone

    • Meet in Littleton @ Aubuchon parking lot @ 8:30 am

  • Need granite – 5'-6' for bench – Powell's Stone and Gravel will donate

  • Plan on Sat 13-Oct for doing the rock placment

  • Eric can run the machine to do the rock work.
