  • Treasury Report -

    • Bought SAM Passes ($510)

    • Collected $585 in Membership

    • Spent $10 on Groomer supplies

    • Account Balance $1342.90

  • News / Greetings

    • Discussion of Open Space Committee and recent meeting regarding community out-reach and community service.

    • We need to get out in front of this and start attending meetings about land usage in town, and the surrounding towns.

    • We should consider joining open space committees and help with volunteer efforts

      • Trail Mapping

      • Trail clearing

      • General Maintenance

    • We should be wary of the DFW projects on the open space committees as their influence is anti-snowmobile

    • Discussed (reminder) how SAM lobbyist helps us by distinguishing Snowmobiles from ATVs and other OHRV's - We should work on a local level to make sure the general public here (around our trails) remembers they are not the same thing.

  • Fall Festival

    • New date is still 1st of November

    • Tent is secured

    • The sign-up for help from before holds (everyone agreed to new date

    • 8 Chili's are signed up - this looks good

    • Reviewed the food list - looks like we are set

    • Need to spread the word on the event

    • Donation plan stands at $10/per person - $20 family cap

    • Door Prize - probably a $100 Gift Card for Home Depot

    • We have lots of prizes - so we are in great shape for the auction

    • Games

      • Still have piñata from last year

      • Have some kids games

      • Have donuts on string

      • Still have left-over prizes from last year

    • Bring friends

    • Not spending club $ on band - getting individual donations

    • Still Bring Your Own Beverage

    • Steve said we can use the heaters - but we have to get them - Greg will get the heaters from Stevie (Tom will coordinate with him Friday afternoon on how to get them) - Kyle will bring them home.

  • Trail maintenance

  • Groomers

    • Machines are working
    • Putting strobe light on.
    • Contract is going in .
    • Tom reviewed how to groom - need to cover at a future meeting

  • Old Business

    • CSS Lights - The club can get a discount on purchasing CSS lights - Ken Secured $65.00 per light when purchased through the club.  If we get a LARGE number of purchases, we may even be able to get a better deal.

    • Club should buy one (or more) for the groomer - should discuss after the fund raiser so we know where we are financially.

  • New Business

    • Made membership cards - when members pay they will now get a card
