  • Want to do a Memorial for Jason Cannavino

  • Hickory Hills association granted permission for us to put a stone up for Jason

  • Get stone from Powell's

  • Do a walk in the woods this Saturday to pick a nice location

    • Meet at Tom's house @ 8:00AM – walk trail – mark a place

  • Discussion on what to put on the stone

    • Etch / sandblast / or put on a plaque

    • Everyone likes the etch/sandblast idea

    • Ken suggested we put “First on – Last off”

    • Some suggested we include a trail marker

    • Some suggested just “Canna”

    • Agreed to work think about wording more while looking at the site we pick

  • Club will no longer send out hard mailing – everyone should have email – if you don't see Ken, and he can get you a free google gmail account.

• Fund Raiser

  • Have fund raiser in fall to fund winter event(s)

  • Suggested weekend before or after Halloween

  • Proposed date 27-Oct-07

  • Have face painting/ pumpkin carving / etc.

  • Band runs around $500 – tend to like Hat Trick or Primal Scream

  • Generally make money as long as we control spending

  • Need raffle donations

  • Courtney will help solicit prizes

  • Could do costume party, or perhaps ornaments for Thanksgiving

  • Concern with 27^th and competition with other Halloween parties

  • Change to 3-Nov-07

  • Courtney will do supplies for the kids – she will need a headcount.

  • Establish a sign-up for what people are going to help with – setup, cleanup, etc.

  • Discussed selling t-shirts to get in to party

    • Eileen will take lead on t-shirts

  • Darla told us about logo koozies we could get – these could be sold or given away with donations. Cost can be as little as .10 each (depending on quantity)

  • Need tent, table, chairs

    • Chris can do Tent

    • Travis may be able to get tables/chairs from the Church

    • May be able to rent tables/chairs from sportsman club – Tom will contact Ruby S.

  • Food

    • Do pot-luck like last year – worked out good

    • Have Chili cook-off WITH PRIZES

    • If wanted – Wally knows Santa, and could talk him into stopping by.

• Trails

  • New Page St. to sportsman club needs re-routing – Jeff S. is the contact. Charlie spoke with him last year, and he is OK on a re-route through the woods – Asked for the club to meet with him and lay out where it should go.

  • Need to clear up near town beach - issues with logs where trail comes off lake/beach

  • Issue with getting on/off Shirley Reservoir (lost long/steep driveway access) – Someone from the Shirley Reservoir area needs to look into an alternate access way.

  • Shooting for weekly work sessions – do as many as possible

  • 9/15 – Stone location choosing – 8:00 am at Tom's

  • 9/22 – General work session – 8:30 am at Tom's
