  • 20 Members in attendance at start - 20 Members in attendance at close.

  • Treasury Report -

    • Fund Raiser brought in $1073

    • Account Balance $2620.90

  • News / Greetings

    • Trail head on island road - where we brought Canna Rock down - this has been chained off now.  She is upset and feels her property is being abused - including bridges that have been built (these are not bridges we built).  We still have access via the wildwood trail from last year, but this is a more convenient - Also - it looks like this land is for sale - President will contact owner to see if we can use snowmobiles there.

    • Ernie looked at the trail out towards Watatic

      • Got some access through there - but need to go back and work some more land owner issues

      • The locals liked the snowmobilers

      • Found trail path to get gas - have land owners lined up from state forest all the way to a gas station - this looks promising if we present our insurance binder - this way we should get to Willard Brook - get gas - and then be able to either continue or head back.

      • Met another rider who grew up in the area - he identified some trails that used to be used years ago so Ernie is going to perhaps knock on some more doors and see if we can open up even more than 1 trail up there - if nothing more, this person is a potential club member.

    • Reviewed the SAM meeting from 11/6

    • Moving the meeting to N. Hampton (more central) was voted down

    • Move annual meeting to Thursday Night @ the Depot (N. Hampton) passed - April 9th @ 5:30

    • Discussed the Expo and how it is not making the club enough $$$ - investigate doing full change-over to new forum

      • Move to N. Hampton Fair Grounds

      • Host Vintage Grass Drags

      • Host test rides on Snowmobiles / ATVs

      • Move from Snowmobile show to Power Sport show

      • 2009 is SAM's 40th anniversary - good year to introduce the new show!

    • SAM hosting a "Take a friend snowmobiling" week of Feb 14-22 - details on SAM web site

    • Budget discussions - club discussed proposed increase in fees vs 1-time

      • Options - Member fee up $0.50  and Pass up $5 - or 1-time $10 fee - or $10 pass increase etc.

      • Club opinion: - 1 time stipend per member of $10 - Also do something to make revenue from web site.

  • Fall Festival

    • Was a great success - made over $1000

  • Trail maintenance

    • Work Session on Nov 7 - nobody but Jeremy showed up

    • Next session Sunday

      • To work on trails

      • Meet @ Tom's at 9:00

      • Have new signs - (reflective)

  • Groomers

    • Brought beacon for groomer
    • Both are at Tom's house waiting for snow!
    • Electric start - batteries are $110 - so this year going with pull-start

  • Old Business

    • Reminder - CSS Lights - The club can get a discount on purchasing CSS lights - Ken Secured $65.00 per light when purchased through the club. 

    • Club should buy one (or more) for the groomer - should discuss after the fund raiser so we know where we are financially.

      • Peter would like to donate his light to the club for the groomer.

  • New Business

    • Patriots game - social will be short :-)
