News / Greetings
We signed the Watatic Contract.
Together we should be able to work with
the other friends of Watatic to establish a nice snowmobile trail
We will probably start trail building next
year - for now there is a way around the mountain, and we have landowner
permission to get to and around this area - this should allow us to use
the property without traveling on the trails in need of bridges etc.
Want to get a work session to get up there
and put up signs so we can guide people where they can and can not ride.
Sam Update
Groomer contacts signed off on - we
can get up to $1100 for grooming efforts this year - best 10 weeks.
Need volunteers for groomers -
will strategically place groomers where it makes sense - we can
leave 1 groomer at 119. Whoever runs the groomers HAVE to
submit the logs every weeks - and mark which trails done by the
trails marked on the contract.
President talked about the benefits of
SAM for our club, to prepare us for the fee increase.
Next year - the SAM passes will go up
from $25 to $30 - talk of an early bird special that would mean
after December the rate may go up to $35
Next year - Member fee will go from
$1.00 to $1.50.

Groomers are ready - waiting for snow.

the Club) generally grooms powerlines and will probably cover
Pearl Hill to the Ashby State Barn (Willard Brook)
We can get gas at the 31 store
First good snow storm, we will have to
go out and research trails to make sure we can get the groomers
through there.

Issue with Apple Orchard - where you
cross Elmwood - brush all down the side - new fence up on the
property across the street.
Jim R is supposed to talk to us about
this - we may need to re-route, but not sure - at the very least, we
need to put up better markers and ropes to prevent people from
riding off-trail.
Connecting trail between Pearl Hill
and NH - need to do a little work, and get a few land owner's
permission.
