      • We met with the Ashby Con Com and presented our plan to rectify the hazards with snowmobiling (and hiking) in the Watatic mountain region.  The plan was met with quite a bit of resistance from several members and because of this, we will probably scale back our plans to try and fix all the problems, and perhaps just fix one trail that does not have any erosion problems, and have the state file the RDA.  We will continue to establish access to the entire trail system via surrounding landowners, and will continue to try to work with the Con Com on a plan that can be put into action that is suitable to both parties..

    • Groomer Contracts:

      • We have the contracts completed and they are due Nov 6th at the SAM meeting. I’ll submit them as is unless Jeremy with the help of some volunteers’ get a new drag that is over 6’ wide completed. In that case we get $5.45 /mile vs. the $3.40 we get for the 5' units. Jeremy has the stock we need help on Saturday.

      • If you plan on running one of the groomer’s this season, review the contracts. We need to log hours weekly using the correct trail designation

      • Give grooming logs to Ken Chenis who will keep the logs for the club.

  • Old Business

    • Snowmobile Expo coming up - in October 18&19 - this year it is FREE with your SAM pink slip - If you go - wear your SnowRider shirt or sweatshirt - better yet - car-pool and go as a group.

    • Culley's open house last weekend - those who went got to see Larry drop a brand new Yamaha into the pond on a water crossing (guess the damn things are simply too heavy).  No Ski-Doos got wet!

    • Last year we submitted our volunteers hours for charity and trail maintenance, and we were one of a few clubs to be awarded a Home Depot Gift card for the club as a "Thank You".

  • New Business

    • CSS Lights - The club can get a discount on purchasing CSS lights - if anyone is interested, send an email to ken (kenneth.chenis(at)componentree.com) and I will get a count and contact the company for quantity discount details - the lights normally go for $120 - are on sale in the fall for $79.99 - so we will see what we can get for a club discount.

    • Biggest grass and water crossing race is up in Freemont NH (near Epping) this weekend - Fri, Sat, Sun - if you go - bring a friend, and wear your Snowrider Tshirt or Sweatshirt.
